Temple

1) Wat Phra That Doi Suthep

this 14th-century golden stupa offers sweeping panoramic views of Chiang Mai. If you are new to city, we recommended you to take a long Naga-guarded staircase (~306 steps) for visible from across the city. If you not familiar with mountain drive we recommended to use Red truck(Songthaew) service, they help reduce carbon produce by cars and reduce accident that happen on mountain road with professional driving skill and experience.

2) Wat Phra Singh

This ornate 14th‑century temple, on Sam Lan Road. Phra Phuttha Sihing, It is an ancient and sacred Buddha image, an important symbol of Chiang Mai. According to history, it was built in 700 B.E. by three Sri Lankan kings and 20 Arahants in 1931 B.E. Wat Phra Singh is in near center of city, you can walk and explore Chiang Mai by starting here.

3) Wat Chedi Luang

Located in the historic Old City, Wat Chedi Luang’s massive ruined pagoda (nearly 90 m tall) is a must-see relic. Built over 600 years ago, its collapsed “Royal Pagoda” is still striking to behold.The temple grounds offer a quiet atmosphere. It sits at the city center, so it’s easy to visit on foot or by bike from other Old City temples.

Street Market

1) Sunday Walking Street

Every Sunday (4 pm–midnight) Ratchadamnoen Road in the Old City becomes a 1 km pedestrian market. You’ll encounter endless food carts, crafts, street performances and local artists. Foot massage after walking relief and relax with health benefits.

2) Warorot Market

A daytime local market by the Ping River (open ~6 am–6 pm). This sprawling market sells fresh produce, flowers, textiles and everyday goods.  It’s largely visited by Chiang Mai residents.  Warorot is a great spot to taste local and see a truly Chiang Mai shopping experience.

Nature

1) Doi Inthanon National Park

Thailand’s tallest peak (2,565 m) is 90 km (≈1.5 hr drive) south of Chiang Mai. The park features lush jungle, waterfalls, and twin royal pagodas.  It’s a favorite day trip for trekking and nature-watching.  Cool mountain air and lots of greenery.

2) Bua Tong Waterfall (sticky waterfall)

About 70 km northwest of Chiang Mai lies this multi-tiered limestone waterfall.  Uniquely, its calcium-rock surface is grippy, so visitors literally climb up the cascade like it’s a staircase.  No special gear is needed (water shoes are recommended for comfort).  It’s a fun half-day excursion and usually less crowded than city attractions.
